Nobody in the history has done the high altitude (over 18,500ft passes) traverse of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Badrinath and Kedarnath the very auspicious spiritual places of India located in Uttarakhand. Such is the difficulty of access and exploration involved in it that, usually the explorers and expeditions are content with doing one or two legs of this challenging traverse.

The expedition team comprises of cancer cure campaign volunteers from several professions (doctors, cancer recoveries, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, engineers, managers, students etc) from all regions of India and the age group ranging from 10 yrs to 65 years.

Cancer Challenges:
The challenges in treating the lethal ailment such as cancer are often elevated to the heights of Himalayas by highly experienced Oncologists. The disease is in high probability of successful treatment if detected at early stage as is not difficult to reach the 10,000ft of Himalayan range. But as the Cancer progresses to the advanced stages, the patient condition enters into the lethal zone, very similar to that of a Himalayan climber entering into death zone above 26,000ft. There is a very flimsy chance of return beyond this yet it is not impossible. Legends like Lance Armstrong who have recovered from cancer effuse this spirit strongly.

The expedition has its own Cancer recoveries like Dr. Aruna (Breast Cancer), Mr. Sanjeev (Blood Cancer) to give hope to cancer sufferers. The whole expedition emphasizes the importance of identifying the cancer symptoms in initial stages and seeking timely medical treatment. Expedition will be organizing the cancer detection camps en-route the mountain villages in Uttaranchal. We also intend to distribute medicines in these remote villages where communication and basic medical help are not readily accessible.
